Flash 52 [2] – A Sister’s Longing

Biting her lip, Sharon’s heart was breaking. In front of her was her brother and that skank Roberta he’d just married. Lying in the sand, in her bikini top and white veil in deference to their Hawaiian wedding, the bitch was cradling Drew’s head on her lap, giggling at something he said as if Sharon hadn’t just caught the new bride less than an hour ago banging her step-brother’s best man in the bathroom. The bitch doesn’t even deserve to wear white, not when we both know the little slut has been putting out for every man except for Drew.

Around her the rest of the family frolicked on the beach, the kids splashing in the surf, while mothers kept an eye on the little ones and the men played volleyball kicking up the sand. It was the perfect picture of idyllic fun. She should be enjoying herself as any twenty-one year old single girl was doing but instead she was sitting under a palm tree, nearly in tears because she was so jealous of what Roberta had. It doesn’t matter that she doesn’t appreciate was she has. Drew loves her and I’m nothing more than his pesky little step-sister.

Drew’s deep laugh carried across the sand before he rolled to his feet and offered a hand to his blushing young bride. Suddenly she could no longer sit and watch them. Rising unsteadily to her feet in the soft sand, she nearly teetered in her heels.

“Whoa.” Brian, Drew’s best man suddenly appeared beside her, his khaki shorts neatly pressed and his tank once more covering his chest. Not like the last time I saw him with Roberta wrapped around him as he fucked her into the wall. He shot her a warm smile as his eyes ran up and down her form. “Careful there, Sharon. Can’t have Drew’s favorite girl breaking her ankle… why don’t you join me tonight for the buffet?” He leered down at her. “I’m sure Drew will be busy with Roberta. We can take this chance to get to know each other better…”

Suddenly queasy from his lecherous grin, she shook her head before claiming fatigue. There was only one man she wanted and it wasn’t him. Escaping back up the path to the hotel, she brushed away a tear. This was the worse day of her life. Not only had Drew married the wrong girl, the asshole who’d just cuckolded him had just made a pass at her.

* * * *

“Aw, come on, Bobbi – don’t be that way...” Drew’s voice pleaded through the wall. “I didn’t say Shar was prettier than you…just that she looked really nice today…”

The sound of rising voices had Sharon setting down her Kindle. The steamy story about a sister and brother giving into their mutual need inside of a barn had nothing on the sound of Drew pleading with his new bride. Whoever was the genius that placed her room next to the bridal suite needed to be shot. She was just reaching for her ear buds, when the door slammed.

“Dammit, Roberta, I don’t find this funny.” The sound of him knocking drifted her way. “Open the fucking door.”

Through the wall Sharon heard Bobbi tell Drew to go screw himself. Her heart plummeted even as her anger rose. That bitch actually locked him out of their room? On their wedding night? Slipping off the bed, she tiptoed over to the door. If she went to him, Drew would realize she’d heard everything. If she didn’t, Lord only knew how long he’d stand in the hall. Before she could decide the decision was taken out of her hands. There was a soft knock. Pulling the door open she took in the haggard expression on Drew’s face.

“Hi.” He shifted a bit. “Bet you heard everything?” When she gave a soft nod, he sighed, his shoulders slumping. “Can I stay here tonight, Shar? She’s not going to let me back in and I’ll die if Mom and Dad…”

She stepped back, pulling him inside by his hand. “Don’t...” Shutting the door behind him, she leaned against it. “You don’t have to explain to me, Drew.” She gave him a soft smile, wanting to ease his discomfort.

“You’re the best, Sis.” He gave her a one armed hug.

“You take the right side, Drew.” She gestured towards the bed, as she shut off the overhead lights, leaving only the bedside light on.

* * * *

Later that night, Sharon continued to stare up at the ceiling, listening to Drew’s even breathing. It reminded her of the times when they gone camping together. She was wound tight, her body humming with arousal. Not only could she feel the heat radiating off his tall athletic body, his spicy aftershave filled her nose every time she breathed in. His palm felt warm against hers from where their hands were joined. She wanted to stay like this forever but knew before long the dawn would be streaking the sky pink and a new day would begin. If she was smart she’d close her eyes and quit staring at him. His rugged profile even in slumber was breathtaking. Eventually however, her eyes got heavy and she started drifting away.

“Baby?” The low groan in her ear in her ear jerked her awake, only to find herself pressed tight against him. “You’re here…” His arm tightened around her as his mouth skimmed over her shoulder. “Taste so good...so beautiful today…” He rocked against her, his erection throbbing against her panties. She gasped, lust wrapping around her. “Been waiting so long…please…”

His plea had her freezing. Her eyes stung. He thought she was Bobbi. She should stop him. When his fingers slipped under her top to toy with her nipples, her brain tried to shut down. She wanted him, but it was wrong. “Drew…” she protested as sensation shot to her womb.

“Hmmm…tight little nipples…” He suddenly rolled her over. She sank into the glittering depths of his green eyes. “…I want them, Shar….” He tugged at the shirt tail, pulling it up to expose her mid-drift. “I want to suck them...say yes. Please Baby.”

She swallowed hard. There were so many reasons she shouldn’t. But she couldn’t deny him, not like Bobbi had. Nodding, a startled cry left her when he swooped in his tongue, teeth and lips tugging on her sensitive peaks. His hand plunged inside her panties, his fingers gentle but assertive as he explored her folds. Grabbing the pillow next to her she shoved it in her mouth to muffle her cries. She’d never felt anything so hot in her life. Untried her body struggled to accept his fingers.

“Shit, you’re wet.” Pulling the pillow away, Drew tossed it the side as he levered over her. “I want you…” his eyes slid closed. “I…need…”

She brushed her fingers over his jaw, needing to give to him. “It’s yours, Drew, always.”

A low groan ripped free of him. His fingers shoved her panties aside and something wet and broad pressed against her opening. She muffled her cry when he flexed his hips and buried himself inside of her. Pain washed over her with the tearing of her innocence. He froze above her, pulling back to look into her face.

“Shar?”

“Yours,” she repeated, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. A low whimper was buried against his chest as he sank deeper.

“Damnit. I won’t hurt you.” She panicked as he lifted, assuming he was leaving. “Shh, relax for me.” His thumb found her clit, rubbing in slow circles. The pain immediately vanished. She bite her lip lifting into him, rocking against his knowing touch. “No don’t hide from me. I want to hear…”

“But…Bobbi….” Her eyes darted towards the wall.

“Can go fuck herself.” He groaned, thrusting gently in time to his thumb. “I want you to scream when you come for me, Shar.”

“I…okay…” she agreed, the coil inside of her tightening as he moved a bit faster. The head board banged against the wall, but she didn’t care. The pleasure was building.

“Fuck, so good.” Drew panted, his chest heaving against her tight nipples.

Sparks spread as her peak grew close. “Ohhhh, I’m going to….” She tossed her head.

“Yeah, come for me. Come all over that hard cock.” His voice was tight, his hips now pounding against hers, his thumb never still. “Come so I can fill your little pussy full….” His promise gritted out between his clenched teeth did it. She flew over the edge with a scream, sharp almost painful pleasure consumed her until she was digging her short nails into his shoulders. “Damnit!” His curse was groaned against her lips, his hips jerking erratically as he spilled inside of her. She could do nothing but cling to him as he shook through his own pleasure.

When it was finally over he collapsed over her. Keeping her arms and legs around him, she rubbed his back, comforting him and never wanting it to end. Even though she knew he’d be going back to his wife. “I...won’t tell.” She whispered softly. “It’ll be our secret…Bobbi won’t ever know…”

Above her, he stiffened and lifted his head to meet her eyes. “Let me deal with Bobbi. She was a mistake. A stand in for who I really wanted. I realized that tonight after she kicked me out.”

Hope bloomed in her chest. “Then who do you want?”

His eyes darkened. “You and don’t even think of trying to ditch me.” He rubbed his nose to hers.

“But what about Mom and Dad…”

He sighed. “Let me deal with them.”

She nodded. “Okay.”

He smiled at her. “That’s my girl…” He pressed her fingers to his mouth. “Love you Shar, you and no one else.”

Kicking Butts!.

It's hump day, it' hump day. That means it's getting closer to the weekend. We're half way there right? So what am I doing on Wednesday night?  I'm sitting curled up on the couch...with laptop in hand watching the Food Network Channel.  Can I cook? Hell-no...I scorch water without trying - just ask my sister,  but I love watching Robert Irvin's Restaurant Impossible and Willie Degal's Restaurant Stakeout.  Why? Because they both kick butts and take names later.  That and I'm in the service industry and wish at times that someone would do what Robert and Willie do.

Let me give you a quick rundown of what they do. Last week Robert went to the Whiskey Creek Steak House. He in essence revamped a dark drabby steak house, gave it a mores sophisticated look, and put in place procedures which would help with expensive cost issues. During the progress of the show, he realized that someone was stealing from the couple who couldn't be in the restaurant twenty-four seven.  In the end however, the revamp was completed and the Whiskey Creek ended up with a great service and according to the website, are still climbing steadily back into the green.  It did give me a good feeling to see that.

Then after Robert's show came on Willie...in the episode "What's with these people" he helped an owner of  Pita Grill in Hoboken, N.J.   Because of the unruly staff, Nick, one of the co-owners, called in Willie.  I watched in horror as I actually witnessed one of the "waiters" engage in a wrestling match straight out of the WWE with a customer.  I cheered when the owner fired him and Willie put the fool in his place.

While I love watching the drama on both of these shows what I enjoy even more is the follow up visit. That's when the show goes back six to eight weeks later or I can go on line to see how the people Robert and Willie helped are faring now.  I guess I just love to see good people succeed.

Okay see you all tomorrow...where we're all one day closer to Friday!  Now I'm off to see what the rest of the bloggers picked as their favorite shows....I have a sneaky suspicion Dakota's is going to have something to do with Criminal Minds.  She has an uber crush on Shemar Moore - not that I can blame her. :)

Winter Happiness

Lets take a quick detour from our regularly scheduled show. It's winter - I bet you noticed right?  So if you live in place lucky to actually get seasons you know what that means...which I do.  I mentioned last week that I live in Iowa. Up here we get snow, sleet, freezing rain...the whole spectrum of winter precipitation.  That being said? Do I love winter? You betcha. There's just something about watching the snowflakes fall, the kids playing in it - their giggles as they toss snowballs at each other, and sled down Suicide Hill, which are just heartwarming even if I am freezing my butt off to partake in it.  I just remind myself I have a huge pot of chili waiting for me in the crock pot when I get home.

I remember winter as a kid.  I lived for the day they called off school because my dad would take my sister and I to the local middle school and let us go sledding.  We'd spend hours out there, sliding down, dragging our sleds back up the hill only to do it again and again. And the best part? My dad chuckling at our antics.  Now as an adult I realize he probably had to be freezing but the big thermos of hot chocolate he brought kept all three of us warm.  Yes as kids we really enjoyed our time in the snow.  Speaking of which...I think I saw a snow flake start to fall.  Have a great day...and if you have the time....take a second to watch it snow.  It is quite beautiful. :)

Favorite Authors/Books?

Happy Monday Peeps!  It's the first Monday of the New Year and I for once have plans....and it all involves curling up with a steamy book by my favorite author and indulging in a strawberry daiquiri or two.  (yes, I know it's considered a fru fru drink but I love em!)   Which of course leads into today's topic...favorite authors.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I absolutely adore Selena Kitt's work.  I've read several of her books from Under Mr. Nolan's Bed to her Sibling Lust series, but that's not the only author I enjoy.  Here's the short list.
  • Selena Kitt
  • V.C. Andrews (her flowers in the attic book opened my eyes at the tender age of 14...lol)
  • Aleksandr Voinov
Anyway the EDJ is calling, so I'm off. Enjoy your day!

Series Sunday

It's Sunday. A day of relaxing and talking about Series.  And what better way to relax than to read a hot book or three.  In fact the book I just finished was part of a series - one which I do happen to enjoy immensely.  So this leads to the question. Do I like series?

As a reader, yes.  I love them. It's nice to see reoccurring characters but as an author...not so much. I have a short attention span when it comes to writing stories.  In fact, once it's written. I'm off looking for the next spark - because believe me, it takes quite a bit of pounding for a character to get their story through in the first place. (So many storylines and so little time syndrome)  That's not to say I won't ever revisit a character, but I don't think I can do an all out series like my friend Dakota does or even some of the bigger authors like Marie Harte or Christine Feehan does.

Now I'm off to write my next piece of flash for Flash 52.  Enjoy your Sunday!  I'll be back tomorrow.

WIP?

Happy Saturday!  This is one post I can actually write about. I have a couple of Works In Progress.  Well...more than a few but two that I've been keeping underwraps, I hope to have published later this year- but The Brother is the one I thought I'd talk about as it's the closest to being complete.

The Brother is a book that I started last fall which features a very unique couple. When the hero,Anthony, jumped into my head, I just had to find an equally stubborn woman for him.  And I did with Zhenya.  Anthony may live by a moralistic code, but his baby sister knows him better than anyone else.  Of course I love the friction between the two as it's a one upmanship to see who's going to give up or given in first.   Below is the blurb for The Brother and small snippet from it.

Blurb:

Anthony, an upstanding guy, only wants to do the right thing.  Which means he can't have the woman that he wants., his seductive younger sister. Running off to college seemed to be like a good plan but he never factored in Zhenya. The little orphaned girl his parents adopted after he was born doesn't agree with his off hands policy.  She is ready to show him how taking her is everything but wrong, and isn't above using the untimely death of their parents as away to sneak by his defenses.  Is right? No, but desperation and love will cause even the most morale girl to play dirty.

Excerpt:
Grabbing his suitcase as it ran by him on the conveyor belt, Anthony rolled his shoulders. The flight back home had been fraught with one delay after another. He’d originally told Zenia that he’d be arriving at seven eighteen but his hour layover at O’Hare had turned into nearly three when the plane he was scheduled to fly on, had some kind of equipment failure. But that hadn’t been the beginning of his problems. An asshole of a security guard in Boston had gone through his bag and somehow managed to break the small bottle of aftershave he’d tucked into his toiletry bag. Now his entire bag reeked of Stetson cologne. The only thing he needed now was for Zenia to have gone home and make his miserable day complete.

Scanning the crowd as he entered the waiting area of Eastern Iowa Airport, he could only pray that she hadn’t gotten frustrated and left. Or worse fell asleep and been mugged. Not that he needed to worry about that in a place like Cedar Rapids, but he’d been in the big city too long to not be concerned.

“Tony!” His arms were suddenly full of the dark haired slender waif as she threw herself into his arms.

“Whoa…” His arm automatically wrapped around her even as her light floral scent teased his nose. He gathered her close as she tried to press kisses all over his face. Not overly tall himself, she only came up to his chin and her slender curves were tempting. As usual he reacted to her closeness. “Hello, sprite.” He gently eased her back from him, trying to ignore the way his body throbbed in protest.

Reader Conventions?

It's Friday, It's Friday...(I bet that song is in in your head now...lol) Sorry.  What can I say? I heard it on the radio this morning on my way to my EDJ.   Anyway, today's selected topic is reader conventions. As a new author, yet to be published, I'm not sure what to think of them. Would I love to go rub elbows with my favorite authors? You bet. It would be a blast to actually meet the devious minds who come up with my favorite stories.  Even though I'd be the first to admit I'd have a really bad case of fan lust if I met Lori Foster, or Selena Kitt in person. I'd probably be  tongued tied and stumble over my words.

But I've heard there are alot to do at these conferences and conventions. You can learn a great deal as both a reader and writer.  So perhaps someday I'll have the chance to sit in on some panels or perhaps even  a workshop or two.  *here's to wishful thinking - like Dakota, I live in Iowa.  Conferences don ususally come here often*   Have a great weekend and don't do anything I wouldn't.
